The UNI u20’s youth grade lost 3-0 to Thirroul in conditions that should have seen the game delayed. The game started with a downpour leaving puddles and slippery conditions, which saw Thirroul take full advantage of getting an early goal and leading 1-0 into the break. The rain stopped for the second half  and UNI had plenty of chances to equalise, and nothing to show for all the good play. With about 15 minutes of play remaining Thirroul got a break away counter attack and punished UNI for not taking their chances. They then got their third not long after to seal the win 3-0. The u20’s showed great character from a young squad and did well to get as far as they did.
