This Sunday the Uni u18s travel around the corner to Beaten Park to play the Uni juniors u18s. The Juniors are without a win so hopefully the early start doesn’t stop the seniors from taking the much needed 3 points.

Below is the match report from last week’s game.

Match Report – Sunday 6.05.18.

University U18 (Sen) vs Balgownie.

This week Uni 18 Seniors hosted an in-form Balgownie at Koolabong.

The visitors started extremely well and tested our defense on numerous occasions. The back four, and particularly goalkeeper Tim Hansen, kept us in the game and although 2-0 down at half time we felt we were still in with a shout.

Putting our pace men up front in a 4-2-4 formation paid dividends with the team netting three times in the second half and coming close to getting a few more. Unfortunately the risk left us a bit exposed and Balgownie countered with 4 making a final score of 6-3.

The second half score of 4-3 was encouraging and some work on tighter marking and winning the 50-50s should see the team more competitive next time.
